Homeless Veterans Get Proper Burial

On any given night, about 200,000 veterans sleep on the streets. If they die and no one to claims their bodies, they risk burial in a pauper’s grave.

That won’t happen to three veterans in Dallas thanks to Dignity Memorials.

Lynard Jones, Loyd Smith and Carl Anderson were buried Friday morning at the National Cemetery in Dallas, with full military honors.

"We rarely know where they were born, their parents names or anything, but the common thread is the fact that they served our country," said Cindy Simpson, funeral director, Dignity Memorial.

Since 2001, Simpson said Dignity Memorial has buried 550 homeless veterans.

I have to say thank you to this company for getting veterans the proper burial they need, I hope that many of the homeless veterans are found and buried this way.
