Cincinnati Bell has now begun a promotion called MyTV Packages starting at $49.99 for the month of March and beyond.
You also have a chance to build your own MyTV package starting at $18.99 with addons starting at $6 a month and up.
The package in the starter pack has the channels that most people would watch including one of the most popular channel for the past 5 years in AMC. You do get all the local channels plus most of those channels come in HD along with some of the local access channels.
If you are fan of USA, FX, TNT, SyFy and some Foxsports channels you will have to get it as addon for $25 a month not bad if you want those channels but if your like most people the starter package along with the Kids&Family is pretty much all you need to get all the entertainment for your household especially if you are on a budget.
Now this promotion is only good for a year after the promotion is over the package goes up $25 each month not too bad unless you can figure out a way to extend for another year.
I am pretty happy with the service, I know the first week was a little rough for the new router and cable box I received as the line coming to the house which is DSL was having some hiccups but that was soon cleared up with a master reset at the switch level by calling their customer service.
I went to turn in my old router to the store and that experience was not very good, the customer service agent that helped me was a little rude when I asked about some technical problems and a way to hook up my upstairs TV’s telling that I needed to call the help line. I was shocked a bit on the way I was treated and the agent was trying to talk really fast, he was trying to make a point about how my router might be bad right out of the box and I was said I don’t think so and he proceeded to tell me about consumer electronics website that says some components do come bad right out the box and I had to slow him down about talking about it and that he was basically wrong cause I am still using the router that they setup.
So the customer service at Cincinnati Bell is up to par and I will not be going back to that store.
I happy that a cable company is finally doing this type of cable service as I hope other companies will follow suit in the future.
