Tyrant ended its summer run last night and it ended with a bang, “Literally” It was an ending that will keep you wondering till next summer.
It all came down to one thing who will run the country since Tyrant ruler died in the first episode of Season 1.
In between that episode and the finale of the second season it was a roller coaster of betrayal, back-stabbings, rape, pillaging, murder, hangings, flesh biting, war, bombings, car bombings, caliphate and good ole fashion sex.
When it was announced that there was going to be a second season there was a lot of excitement since the first season ended in a cliffhanger and the second season was everything that it was hyped to be in the commercials leading to the premiere.
All the characters were back with the exception of their dad who died. In the season 1 finale Bassam “Barry” Al-Fayeed was schedule to die and Jamal Al-Fayeed ordered the hanging because Barry had tried to take over the government, but Jamal could not do it because his loyalty to his brother and the love he had for him and was let go in the middle of desert in the premiere of the second season he was supposed to die but didn’t.
Barry made it and became (Khalil in seclusion) and started a revolution to stop the caliphate that was against the government of Abuddin. Everyone really thought Barry was dead and moved on, Sammy Al-Fayeed, Molly Al-Fayeed, Emma Al-Fayeed all headed to the states and start their new lives not knowing that Barry was still alive and well in his home country.
Sammy found out that he had inherited his dad’s fortune to the sum of 110 million dollars but had to back to Abuddin to collect. So Sammy and Molly headed back but there was a distraction Sammy was wanting to find his lover Adbul from Abuddin and was thinking about him since he went back to the states.
While in country Sammy left the consulate and went looking for Abdul while looking he finds the resistance against the caliphate and finds out that the caliphate had killed Abdul for being what he was and Sammy was upset and wanted to anything he could to help out the resistance to fight against the caliphate even give all his money that he inherited from his dad’s death.
The Caliphate did everything it could to take over the country but in the end it failed and with help of Jamal’s son Rami Said who was jailed but was released to defeat the caliphate.
In the end Jamal was charged with atrocities to his country and was betrayed by his own wife, he was about to step down from the presidency when he found a way that he could of not done this and had proof and bam he was shot by Nusrat Al-Fayeed, Ahmed Al-Fayeed wife and was lying in his pool with Barry holding him trying to stop the blood and Jamal’s wife saying “Let him Go” “He’s paying for his Crimes”
The reason Nusrat shot Jamal was because in the first season Jamal raped her and got her pregnant and she kept the secret all along and it looked like Jamal was not going to step down and pay for his crimes so she shot him for payback of the rape.
There is so much more in season 2 that went and we hope it gets played out with a third season if FXnetworks renews and renew it soon.
They took a while last time to renew the show last year so hopefully this time it won’t be as long. We have not seen the ratings yet but will posted soon.
